Find and manage your jobs
The Jobs page lists every job you can see. This page covers search syntax, filters, saved views, and column configuration, which are not discoverable from the UI.
Jobs and workstations are both resources and share this page's conventions. See find and manage workstations for the workstation-specific parts.
Filters
Default filters: Active, Templates, Completed, Shared with Me, Archived.
Narrow further with the filter dropdowns, by clicking a tag in the tag cloud, or through the search bar. The left column collapses if you want the screen space.
By ownership:
By status:
Note that Completed doesn't mean successful. It means the job stopped. See job statuses.
Search syntax
The search box takes structured filters. This is the part people miss:
Quote any value containing a space. The URL reflects your query, so a search is a shareable link.
The jobs list covers every job you can see, whichever folder it sits in. Searching from inside a Workspace Folder is scoped to that folder, so a search in Home will not find work filed under Workspace. When you cannot find something, come back to this list.
Saved (filtered) views
If you run the same search repeatedly, save it:
- Run the search.
- Click Save and name the view.
- It appears in the left column under Other Views.
- Drag it into Favorite Views to promote it.
- Hover to share it with users, groups, or the whole workspace.
- Hover to edit or delete it.
The first Favorite View becomes your landing page. Put the view you actually work from at the top.
Sharing a view shares the query, not the results, each person sees the jobs they have access to.
Columns
Customize through the (…) icon, drag to reorder, toggle off what you don't need. Whichever filter sits top loads by default.
The Status Action button
One button that adapts to what the job needs:
Starting and Stopping show a progress bar.
Row actions
Hover a row:
Export a CSV
Download CSV exports either your selected jobs or, if nothing is selected, the current page.
Default page size is 20 rows. To export more, raise the per-page count first, otherwise you'll get 20 rows and no indication that anything was left out.
The CSV includes hardware_setting (what you selected) and coretype_name (what actually ran). For Coretype Collection jobs, these columns differ. For jobs submitted on a single coretype, both columns carry the same value.
Useful for:
- Cost attribution by tag — combine with the billing export
- Aggregate storage across a set of jobs, to find what to archive
- Lineage across a study
- Success rate over a period
- Performance analysis — compare actual coretypes used across Collection jobs
