Keysight

Rescale supports Keysight EDA tools for RF, microwave, signal integrity, and system-level electronics simulation. You can run Keysight applications such as PathWave ADS and Keysight EMPro against Rescale cloud hardware using your organization's Keysight license server. This page collects the resources available today for configuring Keysight jobs on the platform.

Running Keysight on Rescale

Keysight products run as batch jobs or on interactive workstations, depending on the tile you pick in the catalog. For license-backed workflows, configure your Keysight license server details on the Software Settings step of job creation. Rescale passes the license environment variables into the cluster so the solver can check out features at launch.

When you create a Keysight job:

  1. Search the catalog for the Keysight product you want to run.
  2. Pick the version that matches what your designs were authored in.
  3. Enter the license server and any analysis-specific options in Software Settings.
  4. Choose hardware appropriate for the workload. RF and EM simulations are typically memory- and CPU-intensive.
  5. Upload your design files and submit.

Licensing

Keysight jobs expect a license server reachable from the Rescale cluster. Most customers either point jobs at an on-premises Keysight license server through a Company License Proxy (CLP) or use a cloud-hosted license server. Contact your Rescale account team if you need help wiring a license server into the platform.

To see which Keysight tiles and versions your organization can run, use Browsing the Catalog. If you need a Keysight product that is not listed, reach out to Rescale support so we can add the tile.
