Usage Dashboards

section-index · Reviewed 2026-07-31 · FEAT-0020 · FEAT-0021 GA

Three views of consumption, each answering a different question. Choose by what you need to find out.

QuestionUse
"What am I consuming?"Your account usage — any user
"Where is the money going, by project?"Economics Dashboard — admins
"Where is the capacity going, by coretype and member?"Utilization Dashboard — admins
"How much AI Credit is left, and who is using it?"AI Credits — admins
"Is this organization secured?"Security Dashboard — organization admins
"What exactly was billed, as a CSV?"Billing & reports

The whole Dashboards menu

The two admin portals list six dashboards between them. Three report on usage and are documented here. The other three report on something else, so they are documented alongside the subject they cover:

DashboardPortalDocumented at

UtilizationBothUtilization Dashboard
AI Credits UtilizationBothAI Credits
OverviewOrganization onlySeeing every workspace at once — a structural inventory of workspaces, not a usage report
SecurityOrganization onlySecurity Dashboard — security posture, so it lives with identity and access
PerformanceWorkspace onlyNot currently documented

A workspace portal shows Economics, Performance, Utilization and AI Credits Utilization. An organization portal shows Economics, Overview, Security, Utilization and AI Credits Utilization.

Your own account usage

Every Rescale user has an account-level usage page for the charges and consumption tied to their email. Sign in and go to Preferences > Charges / Usage.

Use it to:

  • See your own core hours and storage for the current month.
  • Check how much of a member budget you've consumed.
  • Reconcile your jobs and workstations against posted charges.

If your workspace admin has hidden deposits and pricing, the view is labelled Usage and shows consumption without cost columns.

Dashboards vs billing reports

Dashboards are for spotting, which project is overspending, which coretype dominates, who's accumulating storage. They're monthly and visual.

Billing & reports is for reconciling, exact charges, CSV exports, invoice-level detail. When a number needs to be defended, use the CSV.
