AI on the platform
Rescale has three different AI capabilities, and they are easy to confuse because all three answer questions about your engineering work. This page is the map. Each links to its own documentation.
Edison, agents, and AI Physics
Edison and agents are the same family: Edison is the general interface, an agent is a specialist it can hand a task to, and you can also run agents directly. AI Physics is a different thing altogether, changing how a result is produced rather than how you ask about it.
Which solution area provides what
Availability follows your solution area rather than a per-feature switch, so this is usually the answer to "why can I not see that".
Agentic Engineering is sold in place of Advanced Modeling & Simulation, not alongside it. A workspace on Agentic Engineering therefore has everything listed against Advanced Modeling & Simulation as well.
An administrator controls this per workspace, so two people in the same organization can see different sets. If the capability you expect is missing, that is where to ask.
What it costs
Edison and agent usage is metered rather than unlimited. See AI credits for how that is measured and tracked.
