Find and manage your workstations

how-to · Reviewed 2026-07-30 · FEAT-0035 GA

The Workstations page is where you find, filter, and act on every workstation you can see. This page covers search syntax, filters, and saved views, which are not discoverable from the UI.

Classic UIThe Workstations list, with view filters down the left side.

Views

ViewShows
ActiveCurrently starting, running, or suspended
MyWorkstations you own
AllEverything you can see
Shared with YouSessions someone else gave you access to
StoppedTerminated workstations
ArchivedWorkstations you've archived
TemplatesSaved configurations, not live sessions — see Templates

Search syntax

The search box takes structured filters, not just free text. This is the part people miss:

To find byTypeExample
Tag#tag#aero
User@email@jsmith@example.com
Projectproject:<name>project:"Wing Study"
Comment textcomment:"text"comment:"needs review"
ID, name, or softwareplain textEmerald

Quote any value containing a space, as in project:"Wing Study".

Archiving trashes output files, and storage keeps billing

Archiving moves output files to the trash by default, and you can choose whether to trash inputs too.

Storage continues to accrue cost until files are permanently deleted from the trash. Archiving alone doesn't stop the bill. Empty the trash to actually stop paying.
